I don't read DC, but people who do have said this is actually tonally faithful to the comics. Although, she's apparently going under the name Kara Danvers instead of Linda Danvers (comic alias) which should cause for some confusion when Captain Marvel comes out.

I don't disagree with that, it's just that so much has been made of conflating her monster comment with her infertility. That's all I ws commenting on. Personally, I wish they'd have introduced Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel sooner. I find BWs importance somewhat inflated in the movies.

Terrific article! I do not personally struggle with PTSD, but a loved one does so it all rings very true. That's why it pains me when I see it trivialized. I look forward to the rest of the series, you really are a welcome addition to The Escapist.
