I only really visit /mu/, but I like the sense of humor there. It's completely different to /b/, which is basically a filter, and you get the impression that most of the people there are pretty intelligent.
Three words: flawed business model.
In short, a company's actions need to suit the customer, not the other way round. If it can't (and The Escapist has proved time and time again that this is probably the case) then the company will go under. Simple.
