That outfit is really silly, but it definitely fits into canon regarding Orlais's fashion trends, and the hat means I won't have to put up with elaborate hair textures. I also like that they're actually putting in a woman who is clearly black, as opposed to the "ambiguously brown" thing fantasy...
I don't really have anything to say, outside of "I should maybe consider seeing Freddy 6". I just...I feel this belongs here.
Happy Halloween, everyone.
Bioshock Infinite's problem is less than it suffers ludonarrative dissonance than it suffers from just straight-up narrative dissonance. Halfway through, after Booker has led a revolution and killed tons of police officers and civil servants, he basically makes the case that violence can never...
To add to the "you have your work cut out for you" part-there's probably no way we will ever get conclusive research data as to whether or not games make children violent in a closed experiment because then we would have to, y'know, test to see if a child is violent. Which we can't do.
Y'see...
The only thing I took away from that Vine is that Bethesda is being run by Totheark.
They published Dark Corners of the Earth. They might still have the Lovecraft license.
Because in an industry with 20 men to a job, where a 10 hour game can cost 40 millions, every person/studio totally has the clout to negotiate on their terms.
What a load of crap.
"I produce a product. I will narrow my audience and alienate potential customers for no goddamn reason."
God, this is beyond foolish. How do rise to that level in a company with that kind of incompetence? Also, that vacuam analogy doesn't work for several reasons:

Top 3 recently:
Team Fortress 2: 17.2 hours
Kotor 2: 5 hours
Fable: The Lost Chapters: 1 hour
Top 3 altogether:
Team Fortress 2: 172.1 hours
Civilization 5: 83.2 hours
Fallout New Vegas:79.7 hours
This weeks numbers are relatively low. I blame Guild Wars 2.
There's only one way this can end.
EDIT: Dangit, how do you post pictures from photobucket? The only way to view this thing right now is by right-clicking on it.
You know what? I'm actually going to be optimistic about this. Richard Garriot is a pioneer. The Ultima series is probably the best example of freeform, non-inclusive moral choice, and an excellent example of using game mechanics to reinforce lore and themes. Color me somewhat interested...
Regarding Persona 5: Tokyo Jungle, its worth noting that in Persona 3 there is a dog that can summon a persona(though this was in Persona 3, where having a Persona had nothing to do with one's inner self and mostly just happened"because"), so the crossover is somewhat plausible.
Regarding the...
Regarding the whole Dark Souls thing...
I never saw Dark Souls as being oppressive or unfair; quite the contrary, in fact. I see it as a game world which is completely fair because it is completely indifferent. As a player, it give you no undue concessions; you are not special in Dark Souls...
Hey' Konami, you want to make some money? How about you PATCH THE GODDAMN SILENT HILL HD COLLECTION? I would very much like to give you money for it. Or hell, just put the originals on Steam; they're guaranteed to sell on reputation alone, and the only way to get the original 4 nowadays is...
