Can anyone recommend some good power metal?!?!?

Since you don't want nerdy shit, let's go edgy. Most of these are examples of the somewhat darker side of power metal. Except maybe Ballistic, they're just kind of aggressive. There's a lot of crossover between power, heavy, and speed metal so i didn't overly concern myself with the boundaries.

GTA Vice City is so bloody annoying and tedious!

You can but none of those options really saves a whole lot of time compared to just buying them. It's still pretty tedious. I probably sound like I hate Vice City or PS2 GTA in general but I've been playing it a little bit recently and it is still fun. It just has a lot of frustrating...

GTA Vice City is so bloody annoying and tedious!

Let's be fair here, San Andreas was ugly as fuck for its time, too. Worse looking than its predecessors, even. We just let it get away with it 'cause not many games had worlds that big and interactive, especially not on PS2. But tons of 2004 games look nearly a generation ahead of San Andreas...

GTA Vice City is so bloody annoying and tedious!

Yeah, Vice City really hasn't aged well and I remember a number of those things feeling like shitty design at the time. That race, in particular, was always bullshit but it is followed by one of the game's better missions. The shooting also felt pretty crappy at the time, too. I've got...

    Zero Punctuation: The Surge

It has a Souls-y death system but that's pretty much it. The general atmosphere is kiiinda Soulsy but it has a lot more humour and is a fairly cute in places. It also has tons more music than Souls which obviously changes the feel a lot. It's not an RPG, either, more of a standard metroidvania...

SquareEnix ditch IO Interactive after "extrodinary loss"=

The episodic nature was totally fine for Hitman because each level is huge, replayable and completely self-contained. Based on this thread it's a very unpopular way to release a AAA game though and we all know online-only functionality in single player games is deeply unpopular amongst the core...

Poll: How many forums do you regularly visit?

Just here though I recently signed up to the Hardcore Gaming 101 forums and am posting more there. The community is actually really friendly.

I may not read Marvel Comics, or any comics for that matter...

I feel like long running shonen series tend to be just as batshit and retcon-fellating as superhero comics because they have a similar issue in that they're intended to be written until their audience abandons it over several agonising years. Well, maybe not "just as" but they can be really...

Can Story, Wit and Character Growth make up for mediocre graphics in an RPG?

There is a User Group for sharing creative projects if you want some feedback though. It's called "The Escapist Creative Society." But to answer your question, yes it can. Most people play RPGs for their story* and there are tons of examples of successful RPGs that don't meet the technical...

    Persona 5 on PS3: Controls?

I just bought the game on PS4 today and can confirm that you can turn vibration off. I can't imagine the option is missing on PS3!

Why aren't you sick of Marvel Movies yet?

That's fair. This has been the first year in a while where I've been able to consistently go see none-superhero/effects heavy blockbuster movies at the cinema and it's been refreshing and wonderful. It's really started getting me back into film. It might help to use a site called Meetup to...

    Best and worst Castlevania games

The only Metroidvania I've played is Symphony and I haven't played all of the Classicvanias either but my list looks a bit like this. I imagine it's gonna look weird. 1. Chronicles (X68000) - also the first one I played 2. Bloodlines 3. Super 4. Symphony 5. Original 6. III I enjoy...

    Please Post Your Preferred Platformers

If Metroidvanias count, you all need to play Hollow Knight, it's absolutely fantastic. Castlevania X86000 (Castlevania Chronicles on PS1) is my favourite Classicvania and possibly my favourite action-platformer ever besides Rocket Knight Adventures and Freedom Planet. It was also my first...

Shadow of Mordor 2 Shadow of war

I would actually rather a spiritual successor with fuck all to do with Middle Earth (SoM just doesn't fit, tonally, imo) and a greatly expanded, more varied nemesis system that completely replaces any conventional mission structure and turns the whole game into one about territory control...

    Games that Aged INCREDIBLY well

Rocket Knight Adventures is still one of the best 2D platforming experiences you can have, imo. It's very short but it has a nice visual style, great music and sound (especially for a Mega Drive game), fantastic controls, a challenging but fair difficulty level and great level design. Well worth...
