    Your most recent Rage Quit

Got Mortal Kombat Komplete on sale, loved every second of the campaign up until Shao Khan. After about 4 hours of attempts, I quit and uninstalled.

Have you ever bought a game on PC and not been able to play it?

The first Max Payne game refuses to run under normal circumstances, and when it does decide to run after some effort, it crashes within minutes. I knew beforehand that it had severe problems running on Windows 7, but I wanted to try anyway. Back in the day I remember having dozens of games...

Poll: Firefox vs. Chrome (and why?)

Chrome for sure, mostly because of the huge active developer community; If a feature bugs me, I can google it, find which flag to deactivate, and never see it again. Besides that, I feel extension management is easier. With Chrome, you get a great extension page, with simple 'remove' and...

Why you should play "Gone Home"

When I have trouble explaining what makes something a 'game', then I have a good reason to not call it one. Gone Home is just story telling wrapped up in pretty set dressing, and while I have no problem with it existing, I have a major problem with calling it a video game. I've been told...

Poll: Japanese w/ Subs vs. Dub: Which is better for an anime? [W/ Digimon clips!]

I feel like the stigma against dubs comes from the low quality of past or existing dubs. If I had to choose between something subtitled, versus something in my native language, I'd take the native language.

Darkspore Gone Forever Due to Abandoned DRM - UPDATED

Game works fine on Origin. Launched it and ended up playing it for half an hour after reading this. Seems that the problems are just for Steam owners. I only happen to own to because of that free 10 dollar game coupon that went around, and I haven't played much of it.

Poll: Which Vigor did you use most in Bioshock Infinite?

Bronco and Charge were my tried and true combo. Nothing more satisfying then charging at a helpless floating meatsack. Both charge upgrades made you invincible, with shield refilling and temporary invulnerability. Bronco was just loads of fun on its own. Infinite really set the standard. I...

    Bioshock 2?

Bioshock 2 is boring. Horrible pacing leads you from one short set piece to another, with long slogs of nothingness between events. Levels are so linear that exploration is non existent. Some of the mechanics were touched upon, making them feel better, namely hacking and dual wielding. Rapture...

Red Orchestra Dev: CoD Has Ruined A Generation Of Gamers

Red Orchestra was... awkward to say the least. No one likes bounding boxes. No one. Seems to me like a dev hating on another popular franchise in wake of their own lack of success. I agree with him to an extent, mostly that CoD is ruining the potential of other shooters, but not as...

Next Gen, is anyone really done with their current consoles?

Its time for a serious hardware upgrade. Regardless of how 'ready' we feel for a new console, the six year old tech we're running is putting a serious handicap on the industry. Seriously, we have two major consoles running less than a gig of ram; We've had the longest running console cycle, and...

Jim Sterling says PS+ humiliates the game industry

You have to spend far more to get those discounts. Saving 2.5 thousand means nothing when you have to spend 3 thousand to do it. The free content might justify it, but that 1) Requires hard drive space, and 2) Requires interest in the free titles themselves, unless the person likes trying out...

Jim Sterling says PS+ humiliates the game industry

I'm fully aware. The core reason most pick up PS+ is for the free games. The discounts certainly couldn't justify the monthly cost alone. The Steam bit is a separate thought.

Jim Sterling says PS+ humiliates the game industry

I just don't like the idea that PS+ removes the idea of ownership, in place of a psuedo-rental system. To me it feels like putting too much power in the hands of the software distributor. I guess Digital Distribution isn't much different, but to have physical expiration dates attached to games...
