To give some credit to Microsoft.
When the realized how wide-spread the RROD was - they bit the bullet and offered a full recall.
If you have a moment, here's an interesting read from a Microsoft Exec who was in the midst of it all...
When buying my second car (second hand)
I let the car salesman know he was the first dealership & car I was looking at for the day.
With this info, the guy gave me his recommended basic checks to make sure nothing was off about any of the cars I was looking at on the day.

"Now, let me just dig up my receipt from 10 years ago..." - said no one ever!
To be fair, that's my personal circumstance anyway.
I wonder how many people can honestly say they are holding onto receipts for their entertainment devices that are bordering on 10+ years?

Would have thought anyone on a current gen console would be on a decent connection these days. Espeically considering the amount of updates that...
Definitely see the merit in what he is saying, but this is something that would be waaaay down the line (is the way I read it).
As others have already said, biggest benefit I see with the console gamers of the world is they don't need to worry about system specs and know anything they buy FOR...
That's one way to look at it.
I'm excited to see the different applications in everyday life that developers can come up with that no-one has even thought of yet!
Obviously waaaaay down the line, but if something like HoloLens became affordable/smaller, I could see the TV market going into a...
