    Ubisoft Creates a Family-Friendly RPG

Love the idea, but... I got to say this looks damn scary to me, let alone for most kids I know - 7-10 y.o. Games like Trine, Torchlight and Lego Star Wars I've found to be very child co-op friendly, witout explicitly targeting child-adult demographic! I think visuals play a key role...

    OUYA and console development costs?

So Ouya has now has now gotten close to 4,5 million dollars - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ouya/ouya-a-new-kind-of-video-game-console. Makes me wonder how high are production costs for consoles anyway, how much did it cost Microsoft for the first batch of Xbox 360s, or Sony for the...

    Your awesome last words.

"I regret nothiniiiing..." While I drive a burning ford mustang. Off a cliff. Through a fiery ring. Under the song Dead or Alive. Yup , that's how I want to go.

Is fiction losing it's 'fictional' appeal?

Good question I refer you to the following: <youtube=fIqABIcKIvs> Kinda of points some interesting trends there, but I think it's not a complete theory yet. I'm not sure if it's the response of the viewers that's most determinative for the types of shows we get, or the response of the TV...

Would You Have Played These Without a Story?

Oh yes definitely, but I doubt I would've played for as long as I did, or would've had as much fun while playing.

Poll: What are your thoughts on ACTA?

Cheers, I actually just stumbled on it. I'm currently catching up on what I've missed.

Poll: What are your thoughts on ACTA?

What are your thoughts on ACTA? <youtube=citzRjwk-sQ> First I doubt the European Union would ever sign the agreement, I don't know about Japan and the US. But even if they did, do you think that the potential scares are really so bad? I think they might be a bit overblown in the on-line...

Pissed at my English teacher, justified?

Its not semantics, Games are officially recognised as Art in the US by the Supreme Court and are protected by the First Amendment. He has every right to use them appropriately as such, and a true Academic would've fact checked before lowering his grade. Law is on his side in this!

Pissed at my English teacher, justified?

That sucks, you should definetly go and speak with your counselor about it :( Law is on your side, video games in America are legally recognised as an art form and are protected by your first amendment! It did happen this June, which is rather recent but if your teacher is a true academic, she...

    Do you believe in luck?

In what way is my analogy screwed :) I'm not familiar with many religious denomination but even those that support predeterminism can't possibly make the claim that it extends to a point that excludes completely any possibility of luck events. Can they? It just seems like it would be an...

    Do you believe in luck?

You mean random things happening indiscriminately for no reason? Ummm, I don't have to believe in luck, or chance since it's there, it's obvious, it's a natural, logical and probable event. I don't know what you're religious affiliations might be, but saying that the concept of luck does not...

Why do people dislike reading subtitles?

Well since I'm from a non-English speaking Country, basically 80% of movies have always been with subtitles for me :) Usually only TV shows and kid films get the dubbing treatment. I'm used to subtitles is what I'm saying and when I watch a movie in a language I don't know, English subtitles...
