The old D&D movies were already like actual tabletop games. Guardians of the Galaxy was also a tabletop game but it was legitimately good.

The fact that plasma is being focused through a lens and contained inside a magnetic field is a big one. How about that the blade of a lightsaber is weightless and massless but still has inertia? Lightsabers are ENTIRELY rule of cool so the reverse grip being used is pretty much a non-issue...

Remember: Lightsaber combat does not obey the laws of physics. Reverse Shien is a perfectly legitimate combat style.

The aesthetic doesn't really match up with KOTOR or Star Wars at all, more Mass Effect-esque than anything. I'm still interested in seeing how this progresses though. As for legality... technically, they can just release the game as a mod for KOTOR, have it be installed to the KOTOR...

Honestly, I'm impressed. I realize that Cawthon is rich enough that he really doesn't need the money generated by the game, but his response about an unfinished product was to refund the money it had earned, and then make it free. That's really impressive.
