I'm pretty sure that wages are generally higher in Australia and New Zealand, that's why everything costs more. thusly, wages in places like Russia are lower, so the games and the like are priced lower, otherwise they would be prohibitively expensive and people would just pirate.
Nah, I tried watching it recently but it didn't 'click' with me. Almost wish it had over the other, rather embarrassing children's show I watched that did 'click'. (lets just say a couple of people's avatars in this thread feature characters from it):D

Fun Fact: the aliens got faster in Space Invaders because the game ran better with fewer aliens on screen and sped up. The creator enjoyed the added challenge so incorporated it into the game.
Also, according to RPS Source 2 is COMPLETELY free, unlike UE4, where they take a cut. The only catch is that it must be released on Steam, in addition to any other distributors that the developer wishes. Pretty good deal considering if you were making a PC game you would probably put it on...
