You should really look at Trenched. Has a the feel of a full priced game, but for only $15. Way better than most of the $60 games out there.

For RPG and SciFi, you won't get any better than the Mass Effect series. For Action/Suspense, I really enjoyed the Dead Space Series Also Action, Batman AA is amazing. For Horror/suspense, Alan Wake, Highly under-rated game. For general adventure/sandbox fun, Assassin's Creed is (IMHO) one...
