That's the way to do it, people handmaking stuff isn't always going to look perfectly nice.I made it to take to Ren Faire so obviously all of the unfinished frayed edges and uneven stitching are a stylistic choice to make it look more rugged and olde-timey not just evidence of my lack of skill.

Honestly, I think it looks pretty nice. I would actually use it, outside of just the Ren Faire outfit. I made it to be an EDC bag, and it's just big enough to perfectly fit an iPad or a 13" laptop along with my biggest waterbottle, sunscreen, a first aid kit and an umbrella.
