The combo of brain drain plus AI is gonna make things insufferable for a couple years.
I hoping this is more the bad developers looking to make their messaging slop, rather than the talented game designers ready and willing to make games fun and escapism again.

Congrats: it's both. Them leaving is not good sign either way, because you'll have to deal with Gen AI AAA games. It's your call: either start playing more indie and AA games, or you better start digging through the past again.

Well the brightside is that developers with good game ideas and strong capabilities will just make their own games in the indie space and they'll be great. If I can't buy AAA games anymore because they're shit then I'll save money playing Mewgenics and Slay the Spire 2 and Hades-like games. Hurray.

It's a start, I suppose
So I found out a while ago I was entitled to a three month pc game pass trial. Which I redeemed, thinking I could use it to demo games I'm on the fence on, and if I end up liking them just continue playing for free. In the beginning I did just that. Like a dozen plus games. All except two I dropped within half an hour. Since then I've mostly stopped using it save for Replaced last weekend, because that was on my Steam wishlist for the longest time, and the occasional Balatro run.

It's weird, I've got access to a whole bunch of games for free, and I can't be arsed. There's this idea that subscription services like this devalue games, and I thought that was kinda silly, because why would it matter how you get a game? But it's imo kinda true. I don't care about the games on game pass to a kind of shocking degree. They're disposable. Which is different to games I got for free to keep from giveaways. I've got several hundred of those, and I won't claim I highly value those either, but on occasion I'll throw in one of those when things are slow. But game pass? It's slow for me now, and so I go through the list of games, and think "maybe I should play that to tide me over" and then say "nah" and go do something else.

Tho I'd also like to note that on pc, access to a whole bunch of games comes with caveats. Wanna play an Acti-Blizz game? Faf about with the Battlenet launcher and linking accounts and shit. Ubisoft? Get their stupid launcher. EA? You guessed it, launcher, but also, pay extra because EA games aren't actually included, those require an additional sub. None of which I wanna do, so the total number of games available is actually significantly smaller than advertised. For me, at least.

Anyway, that's basically my experience with game pass. If M$ cut me off tomorrow, I would care very little. Might not even notice.

I mean, there's a point where the bottle neck isn't the amount of game you own, its the amount of time you can spend playing, I have literally hundreds of game on steam that I really want to play (probably close to 50 install on my machine) but I don't have the time to play all of that. So being given a subscription service with access to plenty of game would change nothing.

So it's a combination of deck-builder, rogulike (at least I'm assuming the cards a randomized), dungeon-crawler, and survival horror?

Sounds cool. Supposed to be a 1-4 player co-op, and as long as playing alone doesn't affect the gameplay, I am down

Tifa ia rumored to be coming to Street Fighter 6. If this is true, I will learn how to play SF6.
They had me at Haggar! Haggar is finally going to be in a Street Fighter game for once! Took them nearly 40 years to do this!

I will learn how to play SF6.
Fucking better, and bring your a game!

SEGA, why isn't Axel Stone or Blaze getting into the roster?! Any day now, you assholes!

The only reason why i dont think the rumor is Bullshit is because Tifa is just an afterthought to it behind Vega, Haggar, and some other dude. But Vega not being in SF is criminal and it totally makes sense he is coming.

I have no idea when this would be officially announced though.

These idiot gamers ain't winning shit.
Unfortunately, these delusional nutjobs won't understand that, and just double down on topics they don't fully understand. And when they lose, they will probably complain on twitter/bluesky about how much of a corporate abuse this is.

But hey, at least they will earn some brownie points on twitter/bluesky, so I guess that's something! /s

They might be going about it the wrong way and even targeting the wrong company, but they have a point.

Government illegally issues tarifs on imported goods
v
Company that sells imported goods raises prices to compensate
v
Consumer pays more for their goods
v
Government sets up system to pay back illegally gained taxes through their tarifs to companies
v
Companies are compensated for the taxes they paid to the government

Where does this leave the customers who actually paid up for the taxes? Companies are compensated for a cost they 9 out 10 times didn't pay themselves and customers get nothing, the prices of products likely won't go down either.
