Went to see on of my fave bands last saturday. Bought a band hoodie. Aside from supporting the band, it also proved useful, as despite being indoors, the venue was rather chilly.

I feel your pain. I'm going to have to spend between $400 and $5000 on my ac system depending on what the issue is.
VIP ticket to see DJ Shadow in October. I get to meet him, an autographed poster, and a picture with him as well as some other luxuries. I can't believe I'm going to shake the hand that built steam with a grain of salt. It should be criminal to be this excited.
Babylon 5 seasons 1, 2 and 4, and the movie collection on DVD. Been looking for Babylon 5 on DVD for a bit, and came across them at a second hand store.
A true classic. I'm sorry that the third season seems to be missing, but still a good find. I bought my set years ago. As a matter of fact, I really think I need to set down and rewatch the series, maybe one or two episodes a day . . . . Damn, it was such a good show.

A can of Gaza Cola. Comes with arab lettering and the Palestinian flag, and if left too long in your fridge, I assume Israel will come colonize it. Says made in the EU, which is annoyingly broad. Haven't tried it yet

"Ringworld" by Larry Niven (My grandfather speaks of this series rather highly but I didn't want to damage his old editions so I got my own)

IIRC, carrot cakes became popular in the UK during WW2 rationing, cause carrots weren't rationed, and unlike most popular ration food, stayed popular after.
