So I'm not too familiar on Cid. Is there a particular reason his spear summons a giant dragon/fish thing?

Most abilities seem semi grounded relative to other FF's. Aerith being the only real mage because she's an ancient, Barret having a gun arm and Tifa just punching things. So what's the deal with the random air pilot having magic battle partner?
The class is called "dragoon", and has always had dragon theming. Tifa also summons Dolphins for her attacks.

I have spent all weekend crying after this reveal. I watched everyone i could find react to it and trying to share my joy through them.

It's been a surreal experience and I can't believe the original FF7 Remake reveal was 11 years ago now. Then it went radio silent for 5 years after that, only to release finally during Covid in 2020. Now here we are and the final part is upon us 12 years after the original announcement. The Remake project has been nothing short of fucking spectacular.

I've come to a weird realization in screaming for joy during the trailer that once Revelations comes out, I don't think i will ever be so excited for a game ever again. It's wonderful to see this come true, and kind of sad because I have no dream game to look forward to after this. What am i going to do with myself?

I will forever now watch State of Plays and SGF's and Game Awards and not really give a shit because nothing can ever be announced that will bring such hype. I mean is there another game that has 7 hour compilations of people freaking out over the reveal? I can't think of one.

It's only 8-9 months away too. Rebirth was announced over a year before it finally came out. Revelations feels like they held it back for a reason, held it back to not make us wait so long.

And now that it's launching on everything all at once, in line with all the other games being on everything, it just fits. People who've waited to play Remake until all three parts are out can safely start Remake and by the time they complete Rebirth, Revelations will either be out or mere weeks away. Hell if you add Crisis Core on top of that you'll definitely need to scramble to complete all the games in time.

Wow what a ride this has been, fuck.....

Yeah I can't think of an equivalent for me. I'm certainly looking forward to a number of games but there's no BIG FREAKING THING for me.
I think the last things that were that much of a big deal, in terms of like ending a long running favorite thing were Mass Effect 3 and The Witcher 3
(Controversies with ME3 aside, it was a great game and it ended a long-running amazing story).

If Control Resonant is as awesome as it looks and the third game will be a satisfying end to the story, that could be my next equivalent.

Ok then. Happy for you. The closest I ever got to this are DMC5 and Streets of Rage 4.

It will be, but I honestly don't even care about the first game at all. Assuming the second game even bothers with a sequel hook. I really hope it's either an open-ending, or an ending that's stands alone.

Yes, as soon as I saw the trailer, I was like "Man, if I were located somewhere close to @CriticalGaming, I would've rushed over to his place, give a tight hug as we cry together, then go out for a drink together". I mean the game itself looks amazing, but fans like you who probably screamed on top of their lungs in excitement made me extra happy as well.

I also said out loud "Omg, this is so exciting to see new party members! I wonder how well they will sync with Areith- oooohhhhh....." It still hurts she won't be there physically.

I just want to go back to Midgar and see how some of the folks are doing. I mean I have to break the bad news to Elmyra at some point.

I wonder what that final 1v1 fight is gonna be like?

One-winged Angel. I am really curious on how that will sound like in Revelation?

In Remake, it was faster and seem to represent how terrifying Sephiroth is.

In Rebirth, it sounds close to the orignal, perhaps a preview of that epic final battle. It's grand and seems to represent Sephiroth's journey of ascension to god-hood.

Maybe in Revelation, it will somehow be even more epic, perfectly capturing that he IS GOD at that point?
