Ooh please tell me this is going to travel a line that Spec-ops may be completely bogarting right now. It's ok, Rad...you'll be a hero soon...
I'm an American and I was a soldier. Soldiers do a job, often selflessly for shitty wages. Heroes are make-believe. Soldiers are merely subjected to events that are more likely to create a heroic narrative. I'd rather be a soldier any day, at least then I'm not fake.Zhukov said:

First, thanks for the sentiment; it's nice to be appreciated. Second, if you'd like to really make a difference in the lives of veterans, support VA reform. An improved VA system can make a positive impact in the lives of thousands of troops and all it takes is the interest of the voters. I enjoy giving to charities and supporting a worthy cause. It's nice to hear from someone who's truly in the know. When there are so many causes that try to prey on people and so many "charities" that barely apply funds to the causes they claim, I'm always interested to know which ones can affect real positive change in people's lives.
