The most recent episode of top gear finally featured the Bugatti Veyron around the test track. Not only was its performance a shock, but the other car tested, the zonda F roadster had .5 less of a time. Does this make the veyron a one track mind car? (its a damn shame yeah, but honestly i dont blame it because keep in mind, it has to weigh alot. its also supposed to be one of the most well engineered cars ever).

Ultimately, I wouldn't expect too much from the Veyron beyond straight line speed. It's engineered with enough active aerodynamics and traction control to be drivable at its ludicrous rate of speed but it's not an F1 car around the bends, never will be.

exactly. its not like a lotus exige when it comes to cornering. but its not bad enough to call it a mustang (live axle? are u kidding?)

There is a place for live axles, and that is either long distance off-road or old-timey amateur racing. Rear wheel slides make for FUN TIEMS. I tend to like modern/classic muscle cars and cornering machines for entirely different reasons. (Say, a Lotus 49 GP car from ~66, or a 428 engined Galaxie, either one I'd take)

it really comes down to what your taste in a car is. me? the Ariel Atom is the car to have (cornering-wise). as for a muscle car, a Buick GS 400. not common but some reason it interests me.

I was struck with a spirit of perversity one day in Forza 2 and created a gold Buick Regal GX with about 700 hp to compete in the American events with. With the tinted windows and oversize wheels, it kind of embodied some stereotypes. Subtle, not really.
