I doubt the pre-orders were from Rockstar, as I don't think they have a store. People pre-ordered the game for home delivery from places like Amazon, or Best Buy, or any number of other retailers. The retailer probably didn't ship it out until release day, meaning the people who ordered it would have to wait a day or two for the postal service. So Rockstar didn't fail in anything.OlasDAlmighty said:So they Rockstar was rewarded for failing to deliver the preordered games on time (thus defeating the point of preordering, which was stupid to begin with) by selling hundreds of millions of extra game copies?frobalt said:It sounds like people have pre-ordered it for release day, but when it's not arrived at their house early enough in the day, they've gone out and bought a copy from a store.OlasDAlmighty said:I don't understand, how do people buy 2 copies of a game out of "impatience", does buying 2 copies let you play it faster somehow? I mean what is the second copy for?
I'm another 1 of the 1s that doesn't have it. Sorely tempted to buy a console for it though...
Please excuse me while I go vomit.
These people shouldn't be allowed around money ever again. As someone who waits years to buy games this doesn't compute with me whatsoever. All I can say is I hope these people learn from their lesson and never preorder a game ever again.
Though I will agree with the disgust regarding people shelling out for another copy of the game because they can't wait. Pretty sad statement on our consumer culture really.
