You ever had those moments where you had great news and someone else steals the show? Has it annoyed you that you had what seemed like the greastest thing to happen to your life is now ruined and would pale in comparison to the other persons deed, then share who or what ruined your day.



Edit: The reason I made this is because I finally get promoted from a beach sweeper to a badge checker and my sister comes home around the sMe time as me and we both have news for the family to hear and she tells me to go first so I tell the family and once I'm done she says to everyone that she got proposed to by her boyfriend and I'm happy for her and all that but I think she could have went first and not make me look like an idiot in front of my family.

One of my friends exactly. She has to be the centre of attention or she'll sulk. Even if it's something bad, like who had the worst childhood, she has to 1 up everyone. "Oh, I was soooo badly done to! Worse than anyone here"

I get 1 up'd everytime I'm in pain. Once I walked down the street with two friends and someone threw a tennis ball at my face and I fell over. My friends kept walking as if nothing happened and when I asked them if they saw it, one of them just said "I've had worse injuries in rugby." They dont seem to realise that it's not a competition, it's about caring that I'm in pain...

Not really. I'm not that interesting, so I just ride on other peoples stories. I can make a lot of fun jokes about them to steel their thunder, but that's pretty much the extent of my oneupsmanship.
