So the rat in Battlefield 3 was actually a super-ninja set on a mission to stop you? Well that explains a lot.

Are you telling me a six ounce rat sounds different from a hundred eighty pound guy with combat gear?

Yeah, the whole traveling in vents without anyone noticing you thing is bull, but it's so fun too. A lot of sneaking games would be a lot less fun if they were more realistic, but you could say that about many kinds of games.

"Never seen zef so fresh"? That's from Enter the Ninja! Finally I get one of those little references.

Also the comic was good too.

Yeah, it's a good thing that security cameras in games come with a handy-dandy laser that shows everyone in the area the camera's current line of sight.

And yeah, unless you've got rats the size of bears, nothing makes that much noise while wandering through the vents.

In video games it's never 'just a rat' unless it's a giant rat. A poisonous giant rat.

o_0 Where did that thing come from?! If that's what they find in the vents no wonder they can think that guy is a rat!

I think it's a Dark Souls rat.

The first panel showing the difference between real world/Hollywood security cameras pretty much defines how farcical movie and game security really is.

Devil's Advocate moment: Most security cameras aren't actually hooked up to recorders, or even viewers. Having people see them (not knowing the cameras are inoperative) makes people think that Big Brother is watching.

And it works, too.

NOTE: I got that tidbit from the Davinci Code--book, not movie.

"Whose footprints are these?"

Why did no guard ever ask this upon seeing his OWN footprints? Correctly identifying them as their own footprints is far, far smarter than most anything else the AI in in the first Metal Gear Solid did, and totally out of character.

P.S. Thanks
