Oh, it was a videogame-reference. I thought we were about to embark on a Ratkin Ninja storyline.

Disappointed </3

He couldn't have just stepped over and ducked under those lasers? Pfft, what a noob.
Man that's noob! You don't step and duck around lasers!
He needed to lead up to the 2-laser trap with a series of somersaults and flips, then just as he reaches that low laser he needs to go bullet-time so we can see just how close his face gets to it, then as he flips towards the higher laser, bullet-time again as he flips over it, just low enough that one of his pouches gets singed off.

He then catches said pouch when he lands.
Kinda like that scene in resident evil 4

That settles it.

Leon is secretly a ninja.

I notice the lack of a tail on that rat, it perhaps explains why when I get sent to brign back 10 tails some rats are missing them, I could never visualize the reason for it before now. >:)

To Quote Mr.Croshaw
◘Now you have to make your comic funny. And reading most existing webcomics, one could be forgiven for thinking that humour is entirely optional, but believe it or not, there are people who laugh at that stuff, even if it's just the author's mum. Fortunately, the advantage of running a gaming webcomic is that gaming humour is incredibly easy. All you have to do is apply video game logic to the real world for comic effect. For example, in say, Gears of War, you have to push the analogue stick to move forward, when in real life you have to continually put one foot in front of the other. This might not sound like "A" material, but trust me, phrase this right, and there's a fortune to be made in Cafepress shirts◘

I kinda feared another Grey-doesn't-write-so-Cory-gets-to-draw-rats strip ... Not that Cory's massive rat porn ain't awesome, but ... it's a little too soon for Grey to fail us like that again.

I kinda liked that storyline. And I still hope for a rat-ninja one. But the average videogame-references is at least above the usual in humor when it comes to webcomics.

Reminded me of this

Such a bad idea in anything that's not a video game... or a spoof movie.

I could see room for, like, a billion of these. Vent shafts, only six inches wide. Guards search the entire room. People not forgetting that someone shot them in the back, two minutes ago.

Mirror's Edge at least attempted to reference this.

<THUNK THUNK THUNK .... WHAM THUNK THUNK>

Hehe, nice comic as always.

To reply to the current slight off topic in here, this is why you don't go through the vents:

In video games it's never 'just a rat' unless it's a giant rat. A poisonous giant rat.

o_0 Where did that thing come from?! If that's what they find in the vents no wonder they can think that guy is a rat!

I think it would reflect reality better if the last two panels were switched... I mean, I am sure those sounds come from clumsy ninjas, I just know it!
