Recently a 14 year old girl shared naked pictures of herself on myspace. She faces criminal charges of distributing child pornography, and if sentenced could have to register as a sex offender.

My question is this: with all of the amatuer porn coming out of places like the -chans and other unmoderated sites could children become the next target for the crack-down on child pornography?
Another thing that concerns me is the amazing lack of technical information the prosecutors seem to have in the matter. They say "We're only going to charge the people who downloaded the pictures, not the people who accidentally viewed them." but unless you have your browser set not to cache pictures, you could already be guilty in their eyes if you've ever gone on a site where the age of the participants may be in question.
