Ya know if this was just a straight H game I'd be into it too. But the fact that they fetishize her than make her act uncomfortable if you try to do anything lewd. If she was into it I wouldn't feel like such a creeper, but as it is this just seems like creepy old man simulator.

The fact you need to update your PC to the highest specs to use it and keep it updated as much as possible, it's gonna tire people out and just make them go "it's not worth it".

Age of consent in Japan is 13. So to them, that's all not actually all that creepy to them. And since those kinds of games are mostly made for the home market, I wouldn't bet on them to care all that much what the rest of the world thinks.

Also, these games actually very rarely cross over into porn, so whoever suggests that it's not farfetched doesn't know what they are talking about. This is essentially VR LovePlus from the looks of it. You'd be surprised how tame that game's content is.

It's quite fascinating to see which arguably anti-social behaviours are deemed acceptable [in videogames] and which aren't.

Also after reading some of the statements in the article such as:

You could just have her be in college. Seems like a pretty simple solution, though she would probably have to drop the uniform... I don't know, do Japanese colleges have uniforms?

But that would be making the game for the North American market, which they most definitely aren't.

However, shit like this(IRL, digital is, as always, fine) is still super illegal in Japan. The age of consent is technically 13, but there's a whole host of other laws regulating underage relationships. This whole host of laws is part of the reason why I think Japan has a low birthrate problem, but that's just me.
