Sony Unveils Metal Gear Solid Packs For LittleBigPlanet

Metal Gear Solid [http://www.sony.com] premium level pack featuring new objects, music, trophies and tons of other stuff, along with a new MGS costume pack so you can turn Sackboy into Screaming Mantis.

The Metal Gear Solid Premium Level Pack will include five new Story Levels and one Challenge Level created by Konami [http://www.mediamolecule.com/], and includes a pile of new stickers, materials, decorations, objects and an all-new Sackboy costume: The Gurlokovich Soldier. New background and interactive music tracks have also been created for the pack, along with a Metal Gear Solid "sound object," a Laser Sight "gadget" and the "piece de resistance," the Paintinator. Armed with the Paintinator, players can splatter anything and everything in a level with sack-sized paintballs, even fellow Sackboys. 12 new Trophies will also be included with the levels.

As an added bonus, gamers who don't own the Metal Gear Solid Level Pack can still play the MGS Story Levels by joining a host who does own the pack and playing together, and gamers who own the pack will be able to create levels with any of the new items and share them online for everyone.

Rounding out the MGS theme is the Metal Gear Solid Premium Costume Pack, which will include outfits for Solid Snake, of course, along with Meryl Silverburgh, Screaming Mantis and Raiden. The four costumes can be purchased as a full set for $5.99 or individually for $1.99 each, and the MGS Level Pack will also cost $5.99. Both sets will be available on the PlayStation Store beginning December 23. Merry Christmas PS3 owners, from Sony to you. Seems a bit much for costumes but who could say no to that face.

There are levels and a new gameplay mechanic too.

I want it.

To think I just spent my money on Street Fighter costumes I have a feeling LBP is going to be the most costly game I have ever owned.

But its worth it.

I'm going to get the premium pack if only for the new objects and materials.

Oh who am I kidding, I was sold as soon as I saw the Meryl-Sackgirl smile in the picture!

Hey cool that comes out tomorrow. Are the costumes and pack sold seperately? I'd like to just buy the pack and get it all over with instead of buying that AND the costumes (which I probably wouldn't be willing to do).

I randomly purchased the Solid Snake costume for my newly made Sackboy so having him run through extremely bright and outrageous levels brings all kinds of lulz.

There's a costumes pack and a level kit as far as I saw, there's no bundle of all 4 costumes and a level kit, if that's what you're talking about.

Yes, but horse armor doesn't make your horse look cute now does it?

Well I bought the level kit, I refuse to buy the costumes (I usually make the analogy "paying for the costumes is like paying for ketchup packets") but I see so many people with them already I pretty much fool myself into thinking that my personal boycott will accomplish anything.

The level kit was totally worth the 6 dollars, paintinator is so fun, I've made an arena level and it's amazing. (Check my profile for PSN and then check it out....and uhh...HEART COMMENT HEART COMMENT HEAR TCOMMENT OMG OMG)

Another reason I need a PS3......dang. I really need to get one. For both MGS4, and LittleBigPlanet so I can get these MSG packs. I knew I should have asked for one for Christmas. *Laughs*
