Little Big Watchmen

Ror-sack's Journal - March 5th, 2009: Machinima [http://www.machinima.com/] approached me today. Said it has a way to get my message out. This time, I whisper "Yes".

There have been many great levels built with Little Big Planet, from Contra [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/89793-Fans-Make-LittleBigContra] to a wedding ceremony [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/89562-Man-Proposes-Will-Get-Married-in-LittleBigPlanet], but now fans have brought the LBP treatment to what might be the greatest superhero film of the year - some might say the greatest superhero film ever. Even though there's only a minute worth to watch, the image of Ror-sack or Doctor Sack-hattan is sure to inspire some further footage at a later date.

Unfortunately for all Watchmen fans, the level itself isn't downloadable as of yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. As far as I know it could have happened 35 minutes ago.

...Damnit, I've already seen this to. I'm starting to feel annoyed at myself because I always have already seen the things that are brought to attention on this site. The reason I'm annoyed is that because of this I can't give the much more honest initial reaction response, instead of the "I've seen it and my opinion has been tempered by some amount of time" response.

Still awesome, either way.

That's why I consider LBP to be the best game on the PS3. It's innovative, unique, incredibly funny, beautiful to behold and Sackboy is so damn cute. Also, this is coming from someone that spends the majority of his time playing shooters on the Xbox.

Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should. I mean, I thought the movie was a spit in the face of Alan Moore...this is just wrong.

When I step outside of my hard-nosed "the comic is a masterpiece and should not be dirtied by other hands" skin though, I can appreciate it as its own creative work. I can't say that about the movie, so I guess the LBP interpretation wins overall.

I'm almost certain no one is going to think that is a "substitute" or adaptation for watchmen. Just a "tribute"
