Capcom Bundles Three Platinum Hits for 360

If you've missed out on three of Capcom's biggest hits this generation, here's your chance to get them all at a value price with the Platinum Hits Triple Pack, which bundles Lost Planet, Dead Rising and Devil May Cry 4 for one wallet-friendly price.

Capcom has been one of this generation's most successful hitmakers, churning out a fair amount of high profile successes, from Resident Evil 5 to Street Fighter IV. Neither of those games is included in the company's Platinum Hits Triple Pack value bundle, but the three games collected here aren't slouches themselves: Lost Planet, Dead Rising and Devil May Cry 4.

Set for release September 8 with a price tag of $39.99, the 360 and US exclusive bundle packs all three games in a single box. It's the platinum hits pack, naturally, because all three games have sold somewhere in the number of a million copies. The version of Lost Planet includes is the Colonies Edition.

It all comes out to about a $60 value give or take, if you're buying all these games new, so there are some decent savings here. Chances are you may have played one of these games already, or may want to play one or two of them, in which case you probably wouldn't go wrong to just plunk down a few more bucks for the whole package and add three games to your collection at once. Not being a fan of either Lost Planet or Dead Rising, to me this is kinda like a "Devil May Cry plus two other pretty okay games" bundle, which doesn't sound like such a bad deal anyway.

I feel much the same about this pack as you, Keane, except I didn't think of Lost Planet and Dead Rising quite so highly as you.

They call this a "Platinum Hits Bundle"?!

How can they say that without including their two biggest franchises? (Resident Evil/Street Fighter)

Too bad Capcom's games are garbage.

Perhaps that's the reason they're bundling them and adding a "cheap price".

Wow 3 games I already beat years ago come together for a price of 39.99 wow this is almost as good as the bioshock oblivion pack of which I already beat both. (Sarcasm)

But seriously I did beat these games but don't own any of them so this does sound kind of cool.

But a Devil May Cry with 2 ok games I can't agree with because they were both better then Devil May Cry 4.

Wasn't Platinum Hits the new name for the eroge titles in Japan?
Damn you beat me to it. I was JUST looking for that article to link it.

Also, why pick the WORST DMC game of the series for the Platinum pack?

Played Lost Planet years ago, hate Devil May Cry, can get Dead Rising for $20 elsewhere. Next!

I'm not really interested in any of these three games, to be honest- except maybe Dead Rising, and I can rent that- but it's good to know companies are making more bundles. The industry needs more bundles!

40 bucks for Devil May Cry 4 and a new copy of Deadrising.

Just another reason for me to love Capcom.

*Gives another point to Capcom*

But then again I wasen't really satisfied with Street Fighter 4.

*Takes away point*

Huh... you know, that's a very good question... probably because they're still making enough money on the entries that would be in that package.

I came here hoping for the old Resident Evil games to be in a bundle for the 360, I leave disappointed.

While this doesn't surprise me, bundles and all. DMC4, was just mediocre, as was Lost Planet. Dead Rising was the only decent one of the 3.

Waste of a bundle.

Agreed, I'm sure glad Capcom remember all the other great places, like, I don't know, Britain

I haven't played any of these games, so this sounds pretty awesome to me.

I'll be sure to pick up a copy. Just seems like there's no way I can go wrong.
