We all know that for a long time, WWII was the bread-&-butter of videogames.

So, in the midst of all that, what is your favourite WWII-themed game?

I would say that mine is the IL-2/Pacific Fighters series. Not only the best WWII games, but the best combat flight sims as well.

Blitzkrieg! Probably that anyway, I love WW2 themed stuff, so I've got tonnes of it.

Probably a showdown to the death between Call of Duty 2 and Company of Heroes. Both excellent games.

Honourable mention to Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway.

That was an awesome game! Took me forever to realise it was a puzzle game, not really an RTS - villages and enemy bases were puzzles to be solved rather than objectives to take. Well, unless you had a sniper. Then it was just sneak forward and bombard until victory, unfortunately. >>

Medal of Honour: Rising Son. May only be due to the fact that nostalgia is clouding my judgement (being the first WWII game I ever played), but whatever. COD 2 is a close second.

Sad truth right there. Hard levels became an exercise in shelling the shit out of everything.

Probably COD 2 the only COD I've really played, also probably my favorite FPS after Rainbow 6 Vegas 1/2
