1st Look: Xbox360 USB Flashdrive

So I just got The Xbox Live Update With support for using flash drives, as a hard drive for storing Games, Demos and gamer profiles, it's really nice.So then I decided to see if it left any files on the flash drive that windows could see,
so I plugged it into my computer, and saw nothing, but when I turned on Show Hidden/System files;
I was quite surprised to see:

inside were some data files, windows couldn't read, but I'm sure some people could decrypt them...
I bet within a few weeks were gonna have even more people with modded accounts than ever before

I wonder if a large modding community is going to allowed seeing as the files can be accessed remotely...legally at least.

mind you is this just for flash drives? and you cannot add an 1TB HDD?

They only support up to 16GB, USB flash drives, they say usb HDD's work but only up to 16 GB.
Why 16??? I don't know, it's just a bunch of files, I would like to hook up my 180GB usb HDD (once it's fixed) I guess they only allow 16GB so they can keep selling Official xbox hard drives...

I formatted an old 2GB memory stick and only had 1.1GB left over for it. And then it had the cheek to tell me that it's performance wasn't good enough. Nevermind, its only to keep my profile on so I can take it round my mates house.

I doubt hacking accounts is going to be a problem as Microsoft keeps your profiles stored partially on thier own servers as well as on your local system. This is how they have caught account hacking cheaters before. It is also what allows you to remotely recover your account if you are away from you box and stupidly left your memory card at home despite being told to remember it. It takes about a half hour to transfer that little account file (erm.. not that I would know) because it also checks to make sure it hasn't been modified, and that the account is not active anywhere else. For example, get 2 flash drives. Copy your account on to one. Then take it to your PC an copy it to the second one. Play a game on the first one, then shut down the system, and try to play on the second one. You will get an error saying that this account is out of date and that you will need to recover the current one. Just like when you try to load from your memory card when you get home from your friend's house after recovering the account to his machine. (again, not that I would know because the above story is not in referance to something I did... I swear).

What it WILL open up is hacked saved games. It is only a matter of time before we see Gameshark USB drives, or Gameshark software that will allow you to hack save games to give you all the weapons or unlock the harder difficulty levels, etc.
