Just recently my long time girlfriend (we got together junior year) and I graduated and moved out to an apartment near our university (far away from our overprotective parents). This has been the first time we've slept in the same bed as someone who was "touchable" (friends find it awkward if you spoon with them... unless they want to be more than friends *shudder*) , and out of curiosity, HOW DO YOU DO IT WITHOUT LOOSING CIRCULATION??? the last few nights we've ended up sleeping on either side of the bed, but it's got to be possible to sleep TOGETHER. How do you do it?

Well, the thing to consider is arm positioning. You see, if you don't mind changing which side you sleep on in the middle of the night, then-

...uh...

Put your arm under her neck. It will probably be more comfortable if she's facing away from you, but either way, her arm should be straight down.

What you can try to do is put your arm under her neck. There should be space for it there.

EDIT: Well, that was an interesting ninja. I wrote the post, watched something in a different tab, then came back and realized I hadn't posted it. Then that one showed up.

I found that not putting your arm under her worked miracles but her lying on your chest works really well for the guy at least lol

Let her sleep with her head on your chest or vice versa. If you must spoon, wrap your free arm around her mid-section and slip your trapped arm under her pillow. At least that's how I used to do it.
That sounds about right.
That's the way me and my girlfriend sleep.

But beware, you will get addicted.
I have trouble sleeping if I'm alone in bed now.

Well as long as the relationship is fresh all sorts of cuddling positions are ok, and your sleepless nights won't bother you as much.

But if you both want a good rest then both sleep on your own side of the bed, fact is we all toss and turn, we don't know it ourselves but your partner will as you wake them up 10x during the night, and sleep deprivation is torture so it doesn't take long before you hate eachother.

I like to cuddle but when it's sleeping time I much rather have an empty bed.

It's all been said. I slip the arm I'm laying on under her neck. Or she lays on my chest. Or you can lay on her chest. Boobs make great pillows.
Of course, on hot nights, cuddles are impossible. You'll both wake up covered in sweat.

Well my GF hates it, but I cannot (and I mean cannot) sleep while touching any other person in any way.

So for me, no touching is bliss.

I have issues while I sleep. One is that laying on my back and on my right side grows uncomfortable and even painful if it do it long enough. So while my fiance likes to lay her head on my chest, I can't lay that way for long, so we lay on our right sides. Left arm wraped over her, one under her pillow... though she just recently told me that hurts her neck, so that's out of the question... which leaves me nowhere comfortable to put my right arm.

And unfortunatly I get so uncomfortable that I need to stop cuddling and lay on my left side, or my stomach.

But if by some miracle I stay cuddled all night, my right arm becomes numb, and she's tired becuase I wake her up early from trying to cuddle too much.... how she puts up with me is no one's guess :p.

Honestly though, becuase of our current situation, I'd kill someone just for the ability to sleep in the same bed again for a very long time.... I'm addicted to cuddles and falling asleep with her.

Also, my bed is about 5 years old, the springs are in good condition and the padding has yet to flatten. Pillowtops are awesome. But before anyone says it might be the mattress, it's the most comfortable thing I ever slept on.
