It was suggested here that CODWaW was able to do this but it cannot. Unless we are doing something wrong, there's no "press X to join" for the second player (one console) in any of the "online" boards. Sure reads like it can do this on the cover. Misleading?

1 PS3: 2 players: Online as a team:

Thanks!!

I don't quite fully understand what you are trying to say. Could you please elaborate for us?

He's saying that if 1 person has a game disc, someone else should be able to join them, even if they don't have it, via Xbox Live or PSN.

Sure and thank you for the reply. I have 1 PS3 and I would like myself and my best friend to be able to sign in to an online death match, etc and play as a team or even on opposite teams. CODWaW reads that it can do this but it cannot. Yes, we can play as a team MULTIPLAYER or against each other within the game CO OP but NOT sign in to the ONLINE section and do the same.

Sorry, I've never tried this feature, and I don't have a PS3 so I can't help you any further. Hopefully someone else can enlighten you.

EDIT: No, not saying that since I own the DVD, my friend should be able to go online with his PS3 and join me. What I am saying is - he does not own a PS3. I do. In other words: The PS3 has 2 controllers (player 1 and player 2). We would like to be able to go ONLINE and play as player 1 and player 2. Again, there was a thread here that listed the games that can do this and CODWaW was listed but it cannot do it. Just an FYI - Unless we are doing something wrong.

Oh, now I get it. You can't play Call Of Duty (WAW or Modern Warfare) online, using splitscreen. You have to have to different consoles, on two different TVs, and two different discs.

Ah! Yeah. It's odd because the DVD info sure reads like you can.

Multiplayer Online
Co Op Online

...but I guess they mean something different.

Thank you for the help!!

You mean like the PSP and DS? I get it now.

OT: Well I'm looking at the cover for World at War and I'm not seeing this mentioned anywhere on it. There is a four player co-op, but that's if your friends are sitting in the same room with you, each brandishing their own controllers.

Guess I got the verbiage mixed up. Is there any WAR games that can do this? The online option as a team. Would be so great. Take MoH:Airborne for example: To be able to drop in as a team. Way cool! Yes, I know - no go with that game as well ;-)

Quick question: My friend does have a PC. I suppose he could install the game on his PC, add me as a friend and just team up online, yes?
