It was, and it is great. I thought it would be my GOTY for 2012, not just a hidden gem but the best actual game I played. Then came the end of the year and...I like Battlefield 3 more, sorry (especially since Back to Karkland opened up, those maps were sorely needed). I can also think of a more worthy title for Hidden Gem since, in my circles at least, Frozen Synapse was a very big deal.Knusper said:I'm not sure you can really call Terraria a hidden gem when it has been on the number 1 spot on Steam more than one time.
As for my vote, I would probably say Frozen Synapse. I don't think it's that popular but I love it, although I'm not 100% sure it was released 2011.
Well it's a Ubisoft game for the PC. Personally I wanted to get it a lot but I didn't because I fully expected horrible DRM. If I may ask how is it by the way? Is it intrusive at all?JesterRaiin said:Might & Magic Heroes VI.
Seriously...
Nobody talks about it.
How's that possible ? What's the reason ?
Edit : Guys above me, i saw what you did there.

Holy balls, I'd completely forgotten about that game. Read about it before release. Gonna start up Desura and see if I can afford it. Thank youoctafish said:To The Moon.
Beautiful, and I'm not a JRPG fan.
I didn't buy Catherine because of the dubbing. It sounded really bad to me, totally crushed my enthusiasm. I will play it, though. I wish I bought it instead of Deus Ex.Dethenger said:I don't think many people liked Catherine as much as they should have. Goddamn that game is great.
If that's not eligible, then Trine 2. That game is absolutely gorgeous, challenging, and fun as all hell.
I suppose. I haven't heard of it at all. If my brother didn't introduce me to the first Trine, I wouldn't even know Trine 2 existed. Maybe on the Steam forums it's more popular?zombieshark6666 said:I didn't buy Catherine because of the dubbing. It sounded really bad to me, totally crushed my enthusiasm. I will play it, though. Trine 2 is great, though. Did it go unnoticed or something?
This. Even before it got the patch that almost completely fixed the horrifyingly frustrating combat, Witcher 2 was a brilliant, brilliant game. Post-patch, it's basically perfect.endtherapture said:The Witcher 2 was completely overshadowed by Skyrim. But it deserves just as much praise.
Nonlinear storyline, amazing graphics, a difficulty comparable to Dark Souls, one of the most intriguing plots ever, deep characters? It's everything that Dragon Age 2 should've been.
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition is on GOG for $10, DRM free, and a ton of bonuses.xvbones said:This. I'd suggest playing the first one, just so you get all of the references and know who all these people are, as W2 basically assumes you have familiarity with all of this.
Luckily, you can get the enhanced W1 on steam for like nothing and it's still a great fucking game, regardless of ZP's take on it.
Oh, and Bastion.
Every game should be fully narrated by Bastion's narrator.
I shall combine the DNA of Morgan Freeman, David Attenborogh and Bastion's Narrator to create the world's most interesting voice ever heard.xvbones said:Oh, and Bastion.

Every game.
