Why I am trying not to play MMOs, as my time will disappear! Actually, as the hypocrit I am, recently WoW is actually sounding more attractive, despite my life-long mockery of it and anyone that plays it. Aaaargh!

Not on my stock model Dell from 3-5 years ago, unless I scale down the game to bare minimum.

Well, that does tell you that at least these shitty non-gaming PCs do update somewhat. Not enough to play much.

Man, I wuv Minecraft.
I play it on my Asus N10J netbook! It's only a 1.6 Ghz (Single core)! Though render distance is set to 'normal' and graphics are on 'fast'. But if I overclock it to 2.0 ghz (Which I do from time to time), it runs like a dream at normal render and 'fancy' graphics.

The point is: Minecraft is awesome.
And so is this comic.

Graphics aren't everything. When you take all that processing power from graphics and put it somewhere else, it doesn't make it run better, but it makes the game do things you'd never imagine.

Of course I'm probably just preaching to the choir, so I'll stop now.

My 5 year old PC can run Minecraft and a movie at the same time. I tell you, if I wasn't employed and had school I would lounge about all day watching movies and playing Minecraft.
Now I have to settle with only half an hour in the morning, before I actually wake up.
