It's new, still in beta from my understanding. I was more frustrated not finding any useful information on thier website. What are the races? What's combat like? DAoC lite or WoWish?

I try to stay as far away possible from all MMOs. I can't allow myself to sink so much time in one, again. So I'm not gonna try it out.
But i find it cool that the members of The Escapist are being offered such stuff. Good advertising, I'd say. I wonder, what's the number of people that come to the Escapist daily...
I'd love to get my hands on all those statistics, if they exist.

That is strange. When the patcher pops up after loading the game, go to "sign up" at the bottom of the screen. As long as you have a valid email, it should work perfectly.

Well, I have been looking for a MMO in the free category for a while, and free bonus stuff is a good way to make me look in their general direction. I guess I will look for a few reviews or any info I can get on the game first, then unless I see REALLY bad stuff on it dive right on in to try it out.

That page is pretty useful, and looks like a lot of people like Yahtzee. A lot.
But overall, that's a pretty big number of visitors The Escapist gets daily.
Over 100k people who are interested in games visit it daily? Seems like a very good place to advertise other games. Especially on Wednesdays.

I think they actually used Halo 1 for PC to advertise that.

Yeah, actually, it's more than 7, the game came out 10 years ago nearly, but this is the verion shown at E3 2000. This is back when it was for PC originally. So more like11 years.

The game is actually named "Regnum Online", it even says so in the "Realms Online" installer.

Its available in the US and other areas already, so its weird that another studio would be releasing the same game under a different name.

It's the same people who created it, just on a US server instead of a European and Latin America servers.

Well, the game looks kinda meh and generic. Also, those characters look pretty awful and the scenery looks even worse.

Until I see gameplay footage, count me out.
