1.5/5? From what I've heard about this game, that's actually fairly optimistic. I haven't actually played Amy, but I've watched some of the game on Youtube. The scariest thing I saw whilst watching was that Marcello guy, and he was actually helping you. Fuck, he was creepy...

I usually hate statements like that, saying that X awful-nasty-thing would be better than the thing which the author has a distaste for, because it's usually untrue. Would you (an ambiguous second person, of course) really rather eat poop than play MW2? Really?
But setting ten dollars on fire would be rather fun. And if this game is not that much fun, then you are quite right in your recommendation.

Ouch. Nice scathing review, Susan. Brilliantly done. The sad thing is, I'm almost tempted to check it out just to see how bad it really is. But, I'll save some money on this one.

Just watch Lets Plays of them, theRadbrad, Tetraninja, are the ones I've seen finished or one part away from it. It doesn't look that bad, but I see the frustration in them. here is an example, Amy can't climb ladders, she also can't drop from a one-two foot drop without Lana picking her up and helping her down. Also, they show like 7-8 powers but you only get to use two.BehattedWanderer said:

I don't know if its the earlier levels, but later on you see dots over the power so one you get at max of three the other is like five.
I was almost tempted to buy this one on the XBLA, I mean it looks graphically beautiful from what I've seen, least for an XBLA game. However, I decided against it lacking the kind of money to throw at a game for the moment. Seems it might have been a good choice, given the reviews, its not a very good game.

the game still sounds interesting to me. it doesnt have to have great graphics. amnesia also doesnt have nice graphics but still created a nice atmosphere.
from the youtube videos i have seen, it looks alright. im really wondering how the pc version will be. at least i have read that it will come for the pc as well.

Preaching the truth, Susan. It seems like for every good idea the game had, it was destroyed by several annoyances. Good review, very comprehensive. Now to delete it off my hard drive....

From what I understand, the game doesn't track your inventory or world state whenever it loads. Meaning that Amy randomly loosing the appropriate ability to deal with a specific point isn't the fault of the ability randomly disappearing, it's because the game was quit out of, or the player died, wiping all of that progress.
