Not to mention he did a video of Cannibal Ferox, if any of you are curious about those movies but don't have the stomach for them I would check out Cinema Snobs videos on them, you might also get a craving for bubble tapeSatosuke said:Ruminating on exploitation and extreme schlock cinema? Shit, you're right. I forgot he also just did Cannibal Ferox. That one was good, but how he reviews Salo was just hilarious, absolutely skewering the arguments art-house twits made in favor of that horrid movie.Furioso said:Not to mention he did a video of Cannibal Ferox, if any of you are curious about those movies but don't have the stomach for them I would check out Cinema Snobs videos on them, you might also get a craving for bubble tapeSatosuke said:Ruminating on exploitation and extreme schlock cinema? Same thing happened to me a few years ago, I'd heard of Japanese abusing PoW and the Rape of Nanking and just expected something like that. But that stuff was just ferrifying, even in the context of the Second World War it's nightmareish beyond what I expected. What makes it even worse is that the Japanese has pretty much never aknowledged or apologised for any of the things they've done. I knew the Japanese army was notorious for committing atrocities during the Sino-Japanese war but this is the very first I've heard of this. That's some seriously hard to digest history. Makes it difficult to be proud to be a human being.
