The PS4 takes standard SATA 2.5in laptop hard drives and they can be changed without affecting the warranty. It's not as easy as the PS3's drop in/out set up but if you can change a PC hard drive the PS4 presents no challenges.Shoggoth2588 said:I wouldn't mind the 500GB console but if every game needs to be installed 500GB still doesn't seem like the best version to pick up yet
And now I know! Thanks for that info.fix-the-spade said:The PS4 takes standard SATA 2.5in laptop hard drives and they can be changed without affecting the warranty. However, you can't transfer game installs between hdds, so right after buying a new console is the time to do it. I shoved a 2tb drive in mine, all you need is the drive, a screwdriver and a minimum 8GB USB stick to download the firmware/OS onto from the Playstation websitge (download size about 1GB).
Easy as that and nuts to waiting for progressive upgrades over time.
Maybe Canada should have thought about that before cancelling the Red Green show.Weaver said:"Get fucked, Canada"
- Love, Sony
I get that our dollar is down, but the prices are goddamn crazy up here. People didn't get a 30% pay increase when our dollar dropped. This is just going to ensure lower sales.

And all that can be done at the same price as buying a 1TB PS4? If so, then awesome!fix-the-spade said:-snip-
