Gives you the stages - I've only once managed to get it above 4, it's usually 3 for the vast majority of the time

Since the Hitler one is easy (which was half the point really...), try doing some of the ones I mentioned or proposing your own. Can anyone do the Alexander to Bond in less than five?
Alexander the Great -> Cultural depictions of Alexander the Great -> Bond (band) -> James Bond
I'd say "well done" if it wasn't supposed to be from Pope Alexander II to James Bond, not Alexander the great.

Edit: Here we go
Pope Alexander II -> Norman conquest of England -> Culture of England -> Culture of the United Kingdom -> James Bond (film series)
How can you tell? He said Alexander.

Also you linked to the film series, not Bond.

lol using my first random page

Shortest path from Ultimatum (game show) to Adolf Hitler

(view reverse path)

Ultimatum (game show)
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
August 18
Adolf Hitler

but August 18 doesn't exist on who wants to be a millionaire , not that I can see anyway

He was referring to the challenge in his opening post which was pope to Bond. Also, he just said James Bond, and there is "James Bond (film series)" and "James Bond (character)" to choose from, and he didn't specify that part.

Edit: Oh well, I found a link to just "James Bond" in the Culture of the United Kingdom page.

Lunovula finleyi -> Vowel harmony -> The Cutting Edge (novel) -> Karl Eugen Guthe. The random articles stopped at Karl Eugen Guthe, a german physicist involved with electricity. Not Bond or Hitler, but -a- person.

It was quite easy with my random article... thanks to General Franco & Spanish Fascism, which was lucky as my random article only had 2 links.

(Random Article) Computadores, Redes e Ingeniería (CRISA) -> Madrid -> Dictatorship -> Hitler.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CRISA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madrid
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dictatorship
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler

Used to play a similar game in high school when bored in a certain class with two other friends.

One player would hit random page, then the other player would hit random page and try to reach the first page by link surfing through articles. Of course the aim was to get there in as few clicks as possible. There was a rule that if you got there in under 3, the loser bought you an ice coffee during lunch break >:)
