So, basic gist, this guy's come with an idea to challenge yourself to achieve something this month. Could be anything.

So, escapists...up for it? Use this thread to keep people updated?

One problem for me though. I don't know what to do. Honestly, I couldn't be trying this at a worst time, I feel like shit, mentally speaking, and I don't feel like I can do anything right.

I could try spending less money, but I always try that. Same with procrastinating less. I'm already giving it all I've got and, all things considered, doing moderately well.

Then there's some things that are plain unrealistic in that time frame. I could work out more, but that's not going to have any noticeable impact in a month. I could try to eat better, but simple to cook "good" food costs rather a bit more than I currently spend on food, and I can't expect to learn to cook to a decent degree within a month. Unless you count my current experiments to achieve the perfect southern fried chicken sandwhich using ingredients from iceland (a really cheap food store chain in england).

I could try to get laid, but come on, it'd take me at least a year of "schooling" by someone who knows about such stuff for me to stand any chance of success. This ain't a matter of "thinking of girls as a different species" this is a matter of actually being able to socialise like a normal human being, being able to understand normal people. I've been trying to understand how normal people function for my whole damn life and got nowhere. Remember, I ain't very attractive, and everyone around me seems to be really attractive, so I'm playing this game on super-hard difficulty.

So, I need something that I don't already try to do, that's actually achieveable in a month.
So, two things:

1) What do you plan to do?
2) If you don't know, ask your fellow escapists for ideas. This is the option I'm going for, so...yeah, halp.

Well, I don't plan on doing anything but here is an idea.

Learn how to solve a rubix cube. It takes a few hours to learn it if you don't get frustrated ... hence why it took me a week to do it. All you need to do is learn how to set it up and 5 combinations to know how to do it the slowest way (takes about 3 minutes).

I learned off youtube.

Plus it's a great conversation starter, a girl once asked if I was a genius 'cos I solved it in front of her ... it's no "panty peeler" but it starts a conversation.

Then you can go a little more pro ...

it takes me 11 minutes to do that one

Go back to learning Spanish, I guess. If I take a few days off work to really get into it.
That, and maybe go in for that maths course.

I just spent 5 weeks without using my card once and only spent money I had received for my birthday on food. That means I cut down my food budget into less than half what it normally is in that amount of time.

As for the next 5 weeks I guess I could try to gain at least 5 pounds and increase the weight on all my workout exercises.

Write something really good. Something I'd feel I could let other people read without it feeling like I've given them some papers covered in puke.

And possibly get something torch-like or at least a few candles for 9'th November.
