Bully 2 Accidentally Revealed

It sounds like a Bully [http://www.rockstargames.com/bully/home/] sequel is on the way, thanks to an "accidental announcement" by Shawn Lee, the musician who created the score for the original game.

Bully, aka Canis Canem Edit, first came out in 2006 for the PlayStation 2 and while it was successful enough to spawn versions for the PC, Wii and Xbox 360, there's never been any indication from Rockstar [http://www.rockstargames.com/] that it was considering a legitimate sequel. Until now, that is.

In an interview with The Gaming Liberty [http://thegamingliberty.com/index.php/2009/11/10/tgl-exclusive-interview-reveals-possible-bully-sequel/], Shawn Lee, the man behind the music in Bully, let slip that he was gearing up to begin work on a follow-up. When asked if he would be interested in working on other videogames in the future, Lee replied, "Yes. It looks like I will be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 in the not so distant future..."

Rockstar hasn't yet commented on the revelation but Lee confirmed in an email that the company has talked to him about the game. "Rockstar recently mentioned Bully 2 to me but other than that I know nothing!" he said.

So what do you think? Does Bully have the legs to become the next Grand Theft Auto (or even Midnight Club) in Rockstar's stable, or is it more likely to be another Manhunt 2?

Sounds cool. The original looked fairly interesting to me but I never got a chance to play it.

I would say that Bully is better than GTA4.

So, bring on the sequel.

Well, I liked Bully 1 lots. Let's hope it just improves on the flaws.
No matter how few.

Fucking A!

The first game was excellent. I didn't think much of it when I first heard of it, dismissing it as GTA for kids, but when I finally got a chance to play I fell in love with it. The story is just as good as a GTA game, and more fun than most of them.

The school aspect was great too, it gave structure to the days, and was a collection of fun minigames that gave upgrades or random fun stuff. This has cheered me up immensely :D

Fantastic! It may just be the next GTA series. I'm hopeful they don't take it down the same route as GTA IV, Bully's unreleastic yet possible theme made it great fun. I hope they don't drown it with realism. New classes, broader range of women/girls, soumds like great fun to me.

I have to say Bully was the most fun I've had with a game in a while so it would be a welcome addition to my library

A sequel to Bully? Sounds good to me, but I wonder how exactly they'll handle the sequel. I doubt it'll be a return to Bullworth, nor will Jimmy Hopkins be a crucial element to the story again. Going the college route seems to the best choice, as I doubt they could expand on the high-school lifestyle enough to warrant such a sequel. If that's the case, I'm looking quite forward to it. Can't wait to start beating frat boys senseless, spying on sorority houses, and skipping class. You know, the things I should be doing now that I'm in college.

Fuckin-A! Bully was awesome, I've been waiting for a sequel for years. Now if only Rockstar could make a sequel to The Warriors...

I hope in the next one the antagonist doesn't disappear for months and months in-game. It kind of felt like a kick-n-da-crotch to have someone reappear and say "WHOOPS! I SCHEMED UP EVERYTHING AND YOU LOSE, BUSTER!"
