360 Games With Good Communities

I just bought myself a year of Xbox Live Gold. Then I realized the only game I have that has a good online community is Gears of War 2. I was wondering if there are any good 360 games with an active, well behaved community. I'm thinking more along the lines of shooter and don't say Halo 3 or any Call of Duty. I already have Left 4 Dead for the PC so not that either.

I know my standards are a bit high, but just help me out here.

More complicated/difficult or niche games will generally have more mature, better communities. A good examples for a shooter would be Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.

TF2 is usually okay, if you can find a large enough group that plays consistently. It's not a perfect community, but they're generally more well behaved than others.

There's no such thing as a good gaming community. Every game has more than its fair share of assholes, elitists, and Scout Supremacists.

but no really halo 3 is OK i suppose
Was that a joke?
i play halo with my friends... and try to stay away from the brainless dross that makes the community up... i also get banned from bungie.net periodically for pointing and laughing at them
Well that doesn't mean Halo 3 is any better, just that you stay away from the community. It's still just as bad. He's asking about finding good communities, not avoiding bad ones.

Team Fortress 2 on the 360 generally has friendly and relaxed players. The community is a lot better than the Gears of War 2 one, which in turn is still better than the Halo 3 one, in my experience.
I've also made several friends in N+, somehow dying together dozens of times in a particularly tricky level creates a bond.

You won't find a good community just playing a game. You kind of have to find them yourself.

I have had great experiences in Halo 3 doing it like this. Go to team doubles and then get to be friends with your teammate. A couple of times, I'd play for hours with just the one guy. Doing this will get you invited to games with his friends and soon you'll find yourself with a bunch of guys you like playing with.

Just saying that it isnt a bad game as long as you play it with the right people... anyway as i said in my first post GRAW and TF2 are good...
Any community is good if you ignore everyone except a few select people but the OP was asking about good communities as a whole, not good communities to ignore.

Banjo Kazooie N&B for one. A lot of the Gears 2 Horde goers I've met are pretty cool and rely on teamwork.

No game will ever have a wholly good community, so stop shooting down this man's opinions. He's trying to throw his ideas into the thread, not suffer your indifference.

GTA IV. Oh wait...
Don't even joke about that. On topic: Stealth games usually do. So pretty much tom clancy games. Even then, they're not great, just better than the rest of them.

Yeah I met all my major Xbox Live friends via Rainbow Six Vegas. I think they have a REALLY GOOD online community. I remember the time when me and my three other friends (we stuck together for a LONG time) put on white armor and rebreather masks, and set our clan tags to [R6S] for Rainbow Six Stormtroopers...yeah...we were the shit.
The greatest match was when me and three friends played attack and defend on calypso casino; it was like us four versus one or two guys. We all went through the main skylight AT EXACTLY THE SAME TIME and then we killed the one guy and stated teabagging him at the same time as well. We would repeat the process whenever we killed him. That was the high point of my Xbox Live days...

Any of the COD games are really quick with group joining and game joining. There will be assholes on it - but halo takes too long to start IMO.

TF2 is an AMAZING game - there are assholes but this game is just fun and there are lots of non assholes. Left 4 Dead is good too.

Look out for AVP when it comes out next year - the online features on that should Kick ass.
