Possible Details of PSN Premium Membership Leaked

Some potential features for the forthcoming premium PlayStation Network have found their way onto the internet.

Premium subscriptions [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/96224-PSN-to-Get-Premium-Subscriptions] have all but been confirmed, but the details of what a premium PSN subscription might entail are currently just the stuff of speculation and rumor. With that in mind, an alleged Sony survey gives us an insight into what we can expect to get for our money.

Included in the list are such features as Facebook connectivity and member only game content. Just to re-iterate, all of this is just rumor at the moment, but it seems like a pretty sensible list and about on a par with what you might find on Xbox Live.

I've hidden the whole list inside this spoiler box, get clicking if you want to see it.

Damn it. The only reason I want this is because of Cross-game voice chat access.

I'm still not happy about this subscription stuff... why not give it to us for free as they always have??? Sure they will make money out of it but customers sure won't be happy about it, its a bad marketing strategy, considering how they've been bragging about their online being free all this time...

The free access to PSone classics sounds tempting. Depends how much money we are talking though

Exactly. Its as if Sony are contradicting themselves. It wont be very small discounts on the store either Ill bet. Just sounds pointless for all ps3 players.

However I do like the idea of the User to User challenges. That'll be a good thing for competing with friends.

You want me to pay a subscription fee for a 3 year warranty? How does that work? Does it renew every time I renew my subscription?

Full Title Trial sounds cool, although I would assume that just applies to downloadable titles. I don't see them allowing 25+ GB of data to be downloaded for a BD title, not to mention for some users that's bigger than their standard HDD..

Full title trial and the cloud storage thing looks cool. Everything else is just, meh.
I don't like paying subscription, but I fully understand Sony's reasoning behind this move.

...Cross game chat? No! Don't take that away from me! I'll never be able to get a subscription, and that's just adding insult to injury! T_T

Well, it's the same thing with the Non-compatibility with the ps2 games. Sony also used to brag about their consoles being compatible with one another, still using the same video and power cords as they used to, but people who dont have the cash for a ps3 still bought large amounts of ps2 games so they decided to keep marketing ps2 games at the expense of taking the ps2 games from the ps3. And that just doesnt work, because many people I know sold their ps2's before realizing it wasn't backward compatible anymore and now have huge collections of games they can't even play.

Free access to PSOne classics is the only thing that interests me on that list. And it's still not worth it for me.

I've been wanting cross game chat on PSN but I thought it was going to be free. Does XBL have cross game chat regardless of not having gold membership?
