i prefer the ones insert horror (chzo mythos) to the ones insert humor(monkey island and the like)

3D is the part that's going to cause you problems. There are really active communities out there that make retro 2D adventure games to this day ? I've made one myself ? but I don't really think there's that many people willing to make a 3D game for free.
