3D Realms being sued by Take-Two?

Apparently 3D Realms is being sued by Take-Two for failure to deliver on the long-awaited title, Duke Nukem Forever. 12 million dollars I believe is the amount they are suing for, but...can you really blame them?

This is where I heard it from. Its pending at the moment, but I wouldn't doubt it if they actually took them to court.

Did anyone see the last video the devs let out before they got shut down? The damn game was almost done, and it looked like it was going to kick ass too, but now they get shut down.....just take funds away from another one of the hundreds of pieces of tripe this or nxt year and give it to Duke!

Uhh the game was not anywhere close to almost done. They were still in the 3d modeling stages. Almost done would suggest they had some sort of playable anything to show for their 12 years of work. The game wasn't even in alpha testing stages yet.

I can explain it, I'm pretty sure it was because he could climb up a ladder backwards while kicking both legs and firing an RPG all at the same time, all the while spouting rip-your-face-off-awesome one-liners like "I'm going to rip off your head and shit down your neck."

A testament to duke nukem, possibly the best video game character ever conceived.

i know it sucks for take-two to loose out on 12 mil, but they've got vaults full money they made last year from their studios that don't make games from the early 90s before any of you realized that you could get free porn and you really had was the dnnaked code to spew out money and see titties

Take 2 pretty sure won't get 12 millions back in cash, if they win the law suit.
But they would probably get the rights for the character "Duke Nukem" and the game "Duke Nukem Forever". Those rights still belong to 3D Realms and Take 2 probably wants them.

If the landscaping contact was only for 5 years, and the guy still hadn't finished 20 years later, I think the court would accept the cancellation.
