3D Videogames?

i've been seeing a lot of these 3D movies being made, and tho i havent seen a movie in 3D for years(back Before it was cool lol,) it got me thinking, Why arent there any videogames in 3D? i mean, i'd think it would be simple enough to make a game 3D, and you would think that would be pretty cool. so why hasn't anyone done it yet?

I think it would just be too much of a distraction from the hordes of Nazis, Russians, and thinly disguised middle-eastern targets popping out from in front of the sights of your gun and power-armor space marine helmets.

3D, even when it's been used tastefully (Coraline) is still a cheap ploy. It has yet to really add anything to a movie, and it doesn't quite look as good. I'm all set to play some full 3d games, but not with those dorky glasses. I'm waiting for holographic projection.

there are sadly and the results were terrifying try the game G-force yea it supposidly has
3-d graphics that can be activated assuming you kept them from when you watch the movie.

lol i've spent the past several years theorizing how to make a holographic projection. and i've officially come to the conclusion that its nearly impossible, without requiring very complex setups(that would probably end up being far too much trouble for commercial use,)
..but whoknows, maybe there will be knew advancements in science over the next few years that could make it possible,

If I've learned anything from technology, it's that crazy stuff is all closer to being real than we all think. Especially after I read "Physics of the Impossible"

Isn't "James Cameron's Avatar: The Game" fully 3D? Anyway, it hardly seems useful. Sure, shooting Nazis in the face is fun, but is it really that much better to spend hundreds of dollars extra for a 3D TV so some people and sections of the map pop out at you?

The idea of a 3D game really doesn't interest me simply because I don't believe it would add anything worthwhile. I mean it would be cool as a kind of 'show off' thing, but other than that it sounds like a nuisance.
