What if the next big fps was set in the anglo-zanzibar war, a war that lasted only 40 minutes? It would be soooo amazingly stupid!

That would make it almost twice as long as Kane and Lynch 2
And only half as dull.

On topic: It could work. The developers would have to make it an alternate history and make it take longer, or they could shift around a few different characters at different points so you see more of the action.

It could be a roguelike where you have to play all forty minutes in one go, complete every objective, and do it all without dying once.

Ha ha ha! Good one. I would actually like to see other wars visited that don't have WW in front of a number.

They could do a sort of TF2 or L4D type thing with it, where the game only has a multiplayer mode, and each match is 40 minutes long. I can see something like that working.

There have been WAYYYY too many WW games. I like Assassin's Creed because so far they've managed to have their games set in time periods little or no games go to, e.g 3rd Crusade and Renaissance Italy. That is, if they don't fuck it all up with the 3rd game and set it in WW2. I'm still looking forward to Victorian England, Ubisoft.

I have to admit I like Assassin's Creed for the refreshing look as well. I could deal with some more Crusade stuff, especially if you played through the set. Or even the French-Indian wars, the 100 years war, or the War of the Roses. Heck, a Red Dead Redemption look at the Hatfields and McCoys would be good at this point. Good stuff Havass.
