What they don't mention in the article is that the study was conducted by the Institute for Everquest Subscription Sales.

Most of the males that are gone from it would be playing a better MMORPG now anyway.

40% of their population is female(fair enough considering girls seem to love expansion packs, see the sims and nintendo's attachment shovelware), fitter then average(the average being 50%(more then 40%), this statistic is also within acceptable perimeters but slightly on the low side) and apperntly bi. Which is 8 times higher then the rest of the world.

This smacks of EQ beig a sore looser to WoW and making up crap to compensate.

I don't know about EverQuest 2, but my wife plays World of Warcraft and her main reason for doing so is the social element of it---she likes going on raids with other people, teaming up with random people to complete quests, and helping her online friends level up their characters. In other words, she likes WoW for the exact reason you'd never, EVER see me involved in a Mumorpuger, namely that I'm your stereotypical introverted shut-in singleplayer gamer (well, not TOTALLY, but I've always viewed gaming as my personal, solitary pursuit, which is why most of my favorite games don't include any multiplayer at all.)
