nothing special, I am typing this from the Netherlands, we think we are to important to do such thing like the simpletons from the colonies, but I wish I was there, BBQ and big fireworks just seems awesome.
well just because you're not here doesn't mean you cant do somthin special, for example i celebrate chinese new year with my friends who live a couple blocks from me. am i chinese? no. am i buddhist? no. so why do i celebrate it? because i can and its fun! doesnt matter where you are if you feel like celebrating something you enjoy i suggest you do it! if anyone asks tell them you're celebrating the ability to eat and watch explosions :p
if it was up to me, I would not be here typing this reply, then I would be outside burning stuff down, but it is illegal here to light fireworks when it is not newyears eve, and the BBQ's busted, and I have now checked the clock, it is not even the 4th of july anymore, so I am to late, maybe next year.

I'm sorry, but if you had said two cookies then we may have agreed. To late to cut that deal now.
How about 3 and a a box of earl gray. No screw that bring out the ultimate weapon. Unleash upon them ROCKET CHAINSAWS (made in india).

I just got back from a day of Para-sailing and wave boating. I am about to get ready to go to a BBQ and firework show. I don't usually care about the 4th of July, even as an American... things just happen to have worked out this way.

Oh you party poopers. Just because it's not your countries holiday doesn't mean you can't at least have some festivities!
But that would mean acknowledging we had an empire and also that we don't anymore.
Thats like you celebrating China's increasing economic strength.

4th of July means forced socialization with my wife's friends (whom I don't much like) and their rotten children, and she won't let me just stay home, watch baseball, and eat hot dogs in an air-conditioned living room, which is what I'd do if my damn wife didn't pitch a fit about me not being social enough.

Fuck the Fourth.

I don't live in the USA, and have no connections or ties to it at all. But I still celebrate it... Cos it means there is only seven days till my birthday

Well, fireworks are ILLEGAL over here in lovely North Carolina, but there's always some dumbass who does it anyway, so I'll enjoying the show while he's enjoying the ticket.

Me? I chilled with my friend and watched Transformers 2. Why no big celebration? Cuz I am Canadian. Where was the Canada Day poll? I never saw one?

Screw the Fourth of July. I'm an American, and not unpatriotic, but I still hate it. And there's a very simple reason for this:

You know how kids born around Christmas always ***** about getting less presents? Well, I was born on July 1st, and guess what? EVERYBODY SKIPS TOWN for Fourth of July weekend. You know what's lame? Having three friends show up to your birthday party. Also having to hold a week in advance or a week late.
sounds like my xmas for the last 4 years, except everyone (including family) leaves and im left alone with the house. you know what i do? i walk around the house naked and watch tv / play video games like i own the place :D

Well, I'm over here in Britain, so no 04/07 celebrations going on over here. Though for some strange reason, that hasn't stopped my work trying to engage us all in some Independence Day related festivities - not surprisingly the take up has been practically non-existent.

So, what will all you crazy Americans be doing for St Andrews Day? :p
