5 days until Skyrim. What are you doing first?

Then I'll just play it by ear from there.

Try to figure out if I want to play a Imperial rogue that duel wields daggers or a Nord that uses magic and bladed weapons. After that ether steal stuff if I play the rogue to build a money base, or explore as both.

Set out to become the most bad ass ************ around. Get all the coolest skills, find some cool armor, get my reputation as a silent pro killa'.

Then story mode.

I honestly have no clue... from what I've heard online the best thing to do is to pick a direction and keep walking. I guess explore the World would be my first task, same tactic I used for Fallout all these years.

Saturday still makes more sense, on Saturday people could go to the store at opening time and keep flowing through until closing.

That disregards the 11/11/11 thing. If they're going to be moving it to a Friday or Saturday, why would they pass up an opportunity like that just to put it on a day where more people can come in during the morning and early afternoon?

Oh yeah, MW3. duh. I wouldn't want to release a game that came out on that day either.

Yep. And in all honesty, the 15th is when the third Saints Row comes out, and there's probably some sort of publisher system for making sure that big-name games aren't pushed out on the same date.

Probably involves getting to the first town and trying to earn as much gold as I can before I continue. Stocking up on goods and trying to see if you can get drunk and then fight Perhaps I will open the skill menu first and gawk at that amazing menu as first action? hmmm

I actually made a pointed plan on, "The first things I'm gonna do when I've been unleashed upon Skyrim." After making my Lynx-Khajitt Mage I swore to myself the first thing I must do above all else is to hunt down and kill a wooly mammoth.

I dunno it's just something primal. I don't have to kill the mammoth, I NEED to kill the mammoth. Ever since I first heard there were going to be herds of them roaming Skyrim I just envisioned myself stalking a herd from up on a hillside or behind a treeline, singling out one I thought looked like a good mark, and then slowly sneaking in low to the ground to begin my attack.

Why did I set that up? So I can say safely that the first thing I'll do is test out the various mods I've added from the get-go. (Vanilla runs? Who needs vanilla runs?)

I'm going to start the game by dumping all starting equipment and venturing into the wild bare-fisted and bare-assed. Hopefully, by the time I reach civilization, I will be decked out with weaponry and armor that I've rightfully EARNED, either from defeating bandits / monsters / what-have-you, or from exploring the land and looting its forgotten treasure chests.

Cold be damned!

That sounds like fun. I might try that and go ironman on it for the challenge. Only save when you quit the game, and you die in the game, you delete the save and start over again. Either will make for a very satisfying and fun game, or make rip my hair out in frustration. Only time will tell.
