Hi there,

Ok... This is one my first threads so bear with me.

Basically I was laying on my bed the other day playing Borderlands and was like: "This is really fun, likea Diablo 2 with guns. I wonder if they're going to do a sequel or something?" So I went into the Internet and did a search Borderlands Sequel and got soemthing about a possible "Borderworlds" which apparently is a maybe MMOish sequel for the game... Maybe.

Well, for me at least, Borderlands is an excellent game and I would like to see it continued...

But hopefullt still on my console so I'm not sure about an MMO (DCUO u cry and I say yeah, meh)...

So I wanted to shoot out some of the first 5 Ideas that popped into my head and see if you guys agree/disagree want to add more?

Ok. Still here? Well nevermind.

I know the idea of the sequel is to make it like an MMO (or so go the rumors) But you could try to make it like more like a game from the Dreamcast people really liked and still play today which is Phantasy Star online...

Ok my reasoning goes like this... First Borderlands is a FPS so I assume the sequel will be as well... Having played (in a friend's console) MAG I can safely say a Multiplayed FPS with more than 50+ (to a total of 128) players on the map is chaotic as best and frustating at all other times.

Imagine trying to kill/shoot/snipe/blow up or do anything in Borderlands with your team of 3 chums (4 with you) and multiply that by (let's start with 100K people, a paltry sum for an MMO) Some pvping you. It would be impossible to enjoy. So the solution? Have a massive multiplayer game with instanced sections like Phantasy Star in which you can roam around the map with your team in peace but still being able to know when (hmm raids?) are going on or even limit the interaction not just to your team but like (16 people max in each instance).

You get the picture.

More classes that feel unique. Not that the ones right now don't do that but:

In Borderlands you get. Roland/Soldier: Who excels at healing/Combat Rifles-Shotguns/re-supplying himself/the team.

Brick/Brick: Really good at blowing stuff up. With his hands. Also Launchers (RPGs)/And explosive damage.

Lilith/Siren: Who is good with SMGs and Elemental DMG.

And Mordecai/Sniper/Gunslinger: Who's good with Revolvers/Pistols, Sniper Rifles and some degree of cheating that goes over shields (Damn Mordecai always stealing my killz)

Ok great... But I can safely say, after playing the game for a good while now I find myself wanting more variety... A lot more... Specially if the next step is an MMO or we are going to see a lot of Roland--Bricks--etcs running around around. And I don't just mean visually.

Melee Weapons...

Ok, this is a weird one, given because it's an FPS. So basically I should be asking like more guns (also please) But one of my main issues is that you always have the same melee attack (Combat Knife/Lead Pipe/Weird Air Fart thing/Hunter's Knive)... And the damage is soo low sometimes you might as well not bother ever...

So how about having an Inventory Slot (over the grenade Mods and shields and class mods) In which you can equip Melee urmmm "Upgrades" (both is stat and visually) Like a Meat Cleaver o a Bayonnet. Maybe dropped by psychos or midget psychos. Or whatever. Even a Shield (like the Hyperion/Crimson guys) With a single press of L3 you can raise your shield (wihtout having to hold it to keep it up) and move slower but soak dmg (?).

Car Combat/Space Ship Combat??

Ok basically I hate how the cars are controlled in Borderlands, but if Borderworlds title is to be believed then we would have new worlds!!!! XD So basically instead of having that bright worm hole tunnel transition between worlds we could have space ships or even cars which you can buy/upgrade and Ride!! Also fight!!! And for the ones really into messing someone elses day PVP!!! XD (Not me tho' so don't go shooting at me)

So basically... More car types (maybe custom built), more use to said cars and if possible, space ships!!! Pew pew pew! (Also custom built)

#5

And lastly

More enemy types.

I mean not just color pallete the guy from red to slightly redder and call it a day.

I mean in the days of Doom (2) the sheer amount of different enemy types was staggering... And also fun... Speacially with the Simpsons Mod on.

But in Borderlands you get, the bandits who (without counting the dlc) look pretty samey Badass Types included.
The Crimson lance soldiers who are just storm troopets dipped in ketchup. (Not even snow storm troopers :S)
And the wild life (that basically consists of Skags/The Rakks/The Rakks Hives (which you only fight one of) and the bloodwings(in the DLC and the one Mordecai uses)) And.. that's it... Oh wait, also the Crabworms... Ok. That's it.
So that's like 6 in total.

Yeah yeah you get a lot more with the DLC but my point is if we are going to have different worlds we could have more!!! Lots more!!!!

So lemme know what you think or what you would like to see in the sequel.
