Well, it could be worse - it could be Kanye West optioning the game.

Who do you think is smarter? Fiddy or Kanye West? I would have gone with Kanye West, but that was before I actually listened to Fiddy speak in a couple interviews about various subjects. Sure, he's Fiddy, but that doesn't mean he's stupid. Hm... This Saints Row idea is actually pretty great. Like previous posters have said, it doesn't have a very strong narrative. What it has is its own atmosphere, world, and personality. A good writer could turn Saints Row into anything. And I think 50 would fit in perfectly as one of the over-the-top crazy gangsters.

Well if there was any game that should not be made into a movie, it would be Saints Row, very very poor choice, but since he loves to rap about how he got shot 9 times, I am not surprised.

The row had little to no plot... it was just mindless fun, so this isn't going to be good. However, if my cockney accented guy is on screen with his black suite and blue tie... with mime face paint... throwing a old lady over a roof top, into oncoming traffic, this movie would RULE.

Oh god I'm terrified, half of me thinking "Lots of guns and dirty comedy, Fiddy could pull this off" but then I remember that it may kill Saints Row.
I really, really hope he makes a really, really good movie, anything for more crazy and weird Saints Row games, even if you have to play as him. I'm thinking a mix of postal and an actual action movie, lots of good gang violence with lots of dark humor thrown in.

I love Saint's Row, but it is as far from movie treatment ready as possible, then again, I don't like action films. Eh, I'll rent it when the DVD comes out.
