Privates Canned on Xbox Live Arcade

A game where players battle sexually transmitted diseases from the inside, has been deemed unacceptable for Xbox Live.

Developer Zombie cow has announced that its tongue-in-cheek side scrolling shooter Privates will not be making its way to Xbox Live, due to the sexual nature of its content. The game allows players to become John "Jack" Sterling, and take command of "condom-hatted marines" as they cleaned up people's private parts.

In a post [http://www.zombie-cow.com/?p=919] on the developer's official blog, Zombie Cow's Dan Marshall said that the studio had received a lot of support and help, it had been advised that it wouldn't pass the peer review process required of Xbox indie games. Marshall said that Zombie Cow was disappointed, but at the same time, not really surprised. That's not to say that Privates is completely dead, as PC players can download the game for free at its official website [http://www.e4.com/game/privates.html]. If leading a team of commandos into an infected vagina sounds like something you might enjoy, the game could be right up your alley.

Is it wrong that I laugh every time I hear about this game?

Because honestly, its just so delightfully silly.

My thoughts exactly, I swear that use of the words 'penis' and 'vagina' are strictly forbidden on television (with the exception of the serious medical documentaries that they show you in Sex Ed) so an entire game about blasting your way through a very much diseased vagina is a step above 'pushing it'.

"Sexually explicit" content is a woman getting DP'd in the back seat of a car, not a semi-educational cartoon-style platformer.

I'm gonna download that right now, actually looks pretty fun and I thought the trailer was quite funny.

But really, if you listen to some people on Xbox live then you know, no matter what age they are, this game will not damage their fragile little mind.

Sex?

Dear god, you can't show people anything that references a perfectly natural thing.

STI's?

My god, man! We need to brush them under the rug, not inform people about them!
I agree with everything this man has just said.....or woman

For those of you who are upset at it's ban, the post reads on to note that the game is freeware for PC.

It's also quite delightful and I very much enjoy it.
